Overview
PB2 Budapest is an average-size Greek-temperate land contest pressed by four broad edge lakes. The centre remains open enough for land fighting, but each shore changes access to outer economy and makes fishing a real second layer rather than a decorative pond feature.
The PB2 Final Release is its own map identity. Its readable source independently defines the 272 m footprint, four-lake layout, 32 mahi request, and 66k Gold request; it is not the Gameathlon Budapest Recalibrated article.
Food & Fishing
The opening is deer plus aurochs or boar, 5–7 chickens, 6–7 berries, and two to three goats or pigs per player. Close hunt at 55–80 m branches among boar, deer, and aurochs; deer follows at 80–120 m, and a farther mixed hunt is requested at 70–100 m. Berries, close and bonus herdables, wolves, and bears extend the land economy. These are source requests, not guaranteed completed totals.
Fishing is separate: four shoreline lines request four placements of two mahi apiece, for 32 requested mahi in standard 1v1. The fish are renewable, so they are not folded into the finite land-Food description.
Wood & Routes
Three 75–85-tile oak-forest areas are requested near each player. Twelve later forest requests are kept away from player cores, while water, impassable land, settlements, and town centres restrict successful shapes. That makes shoreward Wood and land routes a position problem, not a fixed total.
Gold Mines
A complete standard 1v1 request is 66,000 Gold: one 3,000-Gold medium mine per player, two 6,000-Gold forward large mines per player at 50–80 m, and three 6,000-Gold bonus large mines per player from 70 m outward. Gold avoids water, settlement space, tower vision, corners, and other mines by 50 m, so each constrained placement remains an attempt rather than a guarantee.
Settlements & Relics
Each player receives a backward settlement request at 55–75 m and an aggressive request at 75–110 m. Two relics per player begin at least 80 m from their player location. Both systems avoid water and shore-adjacent constraints, putting the pressure on the accessible land around the lakes rather than inside them.
This overview reads the PB2 Final Release Budapest XS/XML and one user-confirmed Final Release Scenario Editor overhead. PB2 Budapest is materially distinct from Gameathlon Budapest Recalibrated 1.4; the two sources and captures are kept separate. Requested placements are not guarantees, and the overhead is one seed.
